Knights of the Old Republic 2 The Sith Lords (which I will be abbreviating as KotOR 2 for brevity) has a lot of the same systems that the original KotOR had: the d20 system, skills, feats, powers, and alignment systems are used in the same ways. I want KotoR to give me a satisfying experience of controlling a group of characters, Jedi and non-Jedi alike, in coordinated combat. In terms of general gameplay, players who are coming from the first game arenвЂ™t going to notice any big sweeping changes here. I've got JFO and its upcoming sequel to give me that action adventure kick of being a Jedi and wielding a lightsaber.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is in development for PC and PS5. Since then it's earned a reputation as one of the most ambitious and morally complicated Star Wars games ever made, and so to celebrate its 13th birthday we've gone ahead and republished. Unlike a shooter where you usually have both distance and time between actual shooting, direct control melee combat is often way more involved and requires more prolonged highly focused attention, making squad commands a lot more of an afterthought and perfunctory. FF7R was decent enough, but it never clicked with me as a very satisfying party based game. Maybe an action combat system with an ME style approach to squad abilities and controls that result in meaningful combos and coordination might be decent.Д«ut seeing as it's not a shooter more traditional RTwP feels more appropriate to me. Dragon Age, Pathfinder, Pillars of Eternity all did that style of battle system better.

Combat was servicable, but they didnt go far enough IMO. Recruiting, talking to, and choosing which party members to take is the big feature of the game and it should have a good party based combat system that compliments that core characteristic, not a solo action combat system that happens to have AI companions also there with you. (combat was never really that good in KOTOR imo).
